Research interests
My research is focused on children and childhood in a historical perspective , spanning the period from the Early Modern to the late Swedish Welfare State. Previous interest s include issues of Child Labour, Education, Street Children, Welfare Politics, and Globalisation. My current research involves both an engagement in social and cultural history of children and the construction of childhood. In particular, my research probes issues around children as actors in historical processes and how hegemonic power is exercised.
