Research interest

Transborder traveling and how adoption journeys may influence travelers sense of belonging and perception of origin. Another main focus is the social, cultural, economic and political dimensions of transborder traveling.

I am at the moment conducting PhD-research on the topic of adoption return visits (also called root trips). As a first step I have examined how travel companies organize adoption return visits. Focus is on the social, cultural, economic and political dimensions the travel industry attribute to the trips.
