What made you apply for the Master Course “Teaching Intersectional Gender, Sexuality, Ethnicity and Equality” at Tema Genus?
I was engaged in feminist groups in Italy but I wanted to study this more and get other perspectives, and since gender studies don’t exist in Italy in this way, I was looking internationally. As Sweden is considered the role model of gender-equality in world I thought this could be a great experience.
What do you find the most interesting about this Master Course?
I appreciate that it is a good opportunity to get an overview about what is done within the academia concerning gender studies because there are a lot of teachers specialized on different areas within gender studies. The plurality of the students, for example in regard to nationality is very interesting.
What do you think this Master Course will give you in the future?
I am already using the course for my personal life. It’s a great tool to survive the Italian society… This course is not only useful in an academia sense but people whom don’t want to work within academia will benefit from it.
Could you describe your experience of the Master Course with 3 words?
Exciting, intense and useful!
