Malena Gustavson

Recent work and commissions

Currently I work as lecturer adn researcher at Gender Studies, Linköping university. Since 2014 together with Jane Simon editor for the journal Somatechnics

Since 2012 member of Research network for gender, gynaecology and vulva pains, (Nätverket för genus, gynekologi och vulvasmärtor, Stockholm University).

2013 guest editor with Anna Malmqvist & Irina Schmitt of the journal Confero.

2009 - 2012 Lecturer, Centre for Gender Studies, Lund University,  researcher in  an EU-project on the situation for children of lgbtq-parents (rainbow children) in school with Irina Schmitt and research teams in Humboldt University, Berlin and Ljubljana, Slovenia.

2007-2008 Research coordinator GEXcel – Gender of excellence centre, & InterGender Research School, Gender Studies, Linköping University.

2006 defended my doctoral dissertation in Gender Studies, Linköping University. Blandade känslor: bisexuellas politik och praktik (2006, Kabusa böcker). (Mixed Feelings: bisexual women’s politics and practices). The thesis discusses among other things how bisexual women challenge normative imaginary of sexual and gendered identities, gender as objects of desire, mono-/polyamorous relations and how touching practices can generate alternative stories.
