Research Interests

My research is interdisciplinary and I combine STS-theories (Science Technology Society) with policy analysis, governance and power relations. My interests concerns local and regional policy processes and how household understand and interpret public policy in everyday life. My publications concerns local socio-technical systems as innovations, infrastructural systems influence on policy outcome, path-dependency in local energy policy and the influence on policy on everyday life and vice versa.

My empirical focus is mainly on energy systems and how local actors act to develop sustainable technical systems. But I have also studied emergency management, 3G and broadband systems.
