Areas of scientific interest
My research interests lie in the fields of communication, learning, and information and communication technology (ICT). I am interested primarily in communication and learning in environments and situations where coordination and cooperation are of key importance, and in particular in the dynamic environments that arise during crises and in connection with various types of rescue situations. Examples of topics of interest include:
- how knowledge produced in one specific environment is formulated and presented so that it also becomes accessible and usable in other environments where the conditions and assumptions are partly different
- how altered technical options affect communication conditions and assumptions in everyday work
- how users innovatively incorporate ICT in their everyday practice
